Dean Wangerin was born in Des Moines, Iowa, USA, a place that has neither slopes nor foothills, and indeed is most impressively flat. Thankfully, he managed to escape at some point, and has traveled to over 25 countries around the world. He currently resides in Minneapolis, working as a financial analyst for one of the world’s largest airlines. His hobby is travel writing.
